Ruger security 9 slide stuck
2 posts · Joined 2021. #15 · Feb 3, 2021. I have a Ruger Security 9 full size pistol. I called Ruger and talk to two different Representatives which claim. That they stock spring rate from the factory and my gun is 13 lb rated. Galloway Precision Tool says 17 lb. Can someone please clarify.The pistol proved to be very comfortable to fire and consistently hit its targets with precision. In terms of trigger pull, the Security 9 falls around 5 pounds, which I found to be an ideal range for a gun of its size. It seems like the recoil spring pops out of the spot it sits on the barrel when I push the slide back to put the takedown pin back in. Because I lock the slide back, then release the slide and move it forward to remove the slide again, and it's already stuck.
