2:21. 1:41. One person was killed in a three-car crash on the Meadowbrook Parkway Tuesday evening, police say. It happened on the northbound side the Hempstead Turnpike exit around 8 p.m. Police tell News 12 that 36-year-old Michael Brown Jr., of Hempstead, was speeding when he hit two cars before flipping over. Brown Jr. died from his injuries.Closures will take place on Tuesday, August 15, and Thursday, August 17, between the hours of 10 p.m. and 5 a.m., weather permitting, to facilitate highway maintenance.
