First oil change at 7,000 miles on a 2017 6.7 had dealer fill up DEF tank which was showing almost empty, showed full on gauge until 2 days later now it shows almost empty. Topped off DEF tank and it was full. Get warning that DEF tank will run out in less than 400 miles. 1. The truck does not need fuel injector cleaning at such low miles (17K). In fact they don't recommend it. 2. As long as the Def is API approved and run it and keep the tank full but don't overfill it. Don't open the fuel spout unless you have to, because adding air to the tank can degrade it.To reset the DEF light, follow these steps: Turn the ignition on. Press and hold the "0" button until you hear a beep sound. Press the "M" button until the screen displays "Reset 51." Press and hold the "0" button until the screen says that the reset is done. It is well known and there are tons of posts on its accuracy. It reads full at 2.5 gallons and will accept 5 gallons. So from full to actual half full the gauge reads full. Once you hit half full actual then the gauge drops as it is used.
