Sep 14, 2023 · When you open the Dasher app to start dashing, you may notice areas of red on your map, with a circle and flame icon on top. These are hotspots: areas that are experiencing higher traffic of customer orders right now. Hotspots are updated every 10 minutes within the app. It just isn't true that being top dasher is worth it in ALL areas. It probably isn't worth it to most after calculating mileage, gas, and time. The majority of orders in my area are 10+ miles, so I reject over 80% of them because most don't tip $10+ for those distances. Just an example.
