Ford 3000 draft control adjustment
Sep 9, 2008 · The tractor is an early production 3000 (April ’65) according to the serial number and all casting dates support that. 3000 setup for Draft control adjustment. Draft control lever in draft position. Quadrant 4 1/8 in. from top. Shop manual shows 3.75 in. I tried both. Lift arms in fully raised position. On my 3000 the lever has to be up for position control. Down (in Draft) will do what you are describing. Move it up and see what happens. It should raise or lower the 3 point arms …

Selecting Position control moves the pin onto the cam as in the picture. I'd suggest getting the original style owners manual as a beginner, then the service manual. These things are well explained in the manuals. 8-speed models were live power.
